Dishonest Christians?

Why do so many professing Christians, folks who should love and embrace the truth, get hostile when the pagan origins of Christmas are exposed? Why do they love their tinsel traditions more than God whom they pretend to serve? Why are they so self-willed and rebellious against the Law of God? Is Satan their father, after all? Are they liars?
